AIRPORT COMMISSION
July 2, 1992
12:00 Noon
Present: Marty Koch, Chairman; Dean Dishman, Budd Kehne, Dr.
McLaughlin, Jack Pearson, and Bob Renfro.
The Meeting was called to order by Marty Koch at 12:05 p.m.
The minutes of the June 4th meeting were approved.
The Airport Manager reported that:
1. The Precision Flight site has been paved in accordance
with the agreed clean up plan. The Commission recommended that
the Airport Manager begin negotiations with Tom Blakly, who has
requested a lease on this site to operate an airport painting
business. Due to the nature of this business, building
modifications and environmental rules will be addressed in
detail.
2. The Oregon Antique Aircraft Fly In is still scheduled
for the 7th and 8th of July at the Airport.
3. A coa 1 tar emu 1 sion sea 1 coat wi 1 1 be app 1 ied to a 40
foot radius around the fuel pumps on July 13th. This is a
requirement of FAA/AIP Pro�ect No. 3-16-0045-05.
4. A window was broken at the AVJET Aviation Office in
June. The person breaking the window was frightened off and
nothing was taken.
5. The State Bureau of Aeronautics conducted a visit to the
Airport on June 29th. All areas were satisfactory. A comment
was made that the runway will probably need remarking in the next
couple of years.
A lease with Claircom Communications was approved with the
recommendation that the rent be set at $300 per year. The lease
is for a 1200 square foot site on the south side of Aviation Way.
The Commission approved a motion that $25 per month be the
minimum rent for lots on the other side of Aviation Way from the
Airport proper (southeast side). This minimum is to insure
coverage of administrative cost on small parcels.
Budd Kehne and Bob Renfro were appointed as Commission
representatives for the next taxiway construction grant project.
The Commission asked the Airport Manager to look into the cost af
ian automatic gate for the private hangar area.
The Meeting adjourned at 12:45 p.m.
