AIRPORT COMMISSION
October 1, 1992

Present: Marty Koch, Chairman; Dean Dishman, Budd Kehne, Bob
McGee, Dr. McLaughlin and Bob Renfro.
The meeting was called to order by Marty Koch at 12:05 p.m.
The minutes of the September 3rd meeting were approved.
Paul Voeller of Toothman Orton Engineering presented the
proposed layout plan for A.I.P. 3-16-0045-06; taxiway construction
in the area northwest of the terminal. The commission approved the
plan and advised proceeding with the design phase.
The Airport Manager reported that:
1. The rezoning of Lots 2-5 of the Aviation Way Subdivision
from M-1 to C-3 has been approved by the Planning and Zoning
Commission and goes to the City Council on October 5th.
2. The dishwasher in the restaurant (City property) may have
to be replaced to satisfy Health Department requirements for a
commercial model. The Commission approved this if required.
3. The City Engineer, Mr. Wally Cory is leaving on October
2nd. No replacement has been chosen.
4. A shade hangar, as approved previously by the Commission,
has been completed on the terminal ramp.
5. The Intermountain Gas co. has requested the City provide �
aid to construction costs to provide gas service to the Airport
area. H.U.D. Economic Development funds have been requested from
the City Council to fund the city's portion. These funds would be
refunded to the City as more customers come on line per an
agreement with Intermountain Gas. The City Council will consider
this on October 5th.
6. A list of proposed Airport projects has been submitted to
the State Bureau of Aeronautics per their request. This list runs
through the year 2000 and timing will depend on Airport growth and
the availability of funding.
7. John Murdoch has replaced Garret Nancolas as a City
Council representative to the Airport Commission.
The Council approved a lease with James Acarregui and Norman
or Marianne Baker for Lots 18-21 at the Airport. This is a

standard business lease with hangar construction to be completed no
later than December 31, 1993. Tentative plans are for a 100' x
110' hangar for aircraft storage, aircraft restoration, and other
aviation oriented business. Mr. Acarragui presented the proposal
to the Commission. The rent will initially be four cents per
square foot per year and will increase to ten cents per square foot
for the building area when construction begins or not later than
April 1, 1993.
