AIRPORT COMMISSION
April 1, 1993
Present: Marty Koch, Chairman; Budd Kehne, Bob McGee, Dr.
McLaughlin, Bob Renfro, and LeAnn Simmons.
The Meeting was called to order at 12:05 p.m. The minutes of
the March 4, 1993, meeting were approved.
The Commission moved and approved the proposal of Skydive
Idaho to locate at the Caldwell Airport. A lease for Lot No. 27
and the building located thereon plus designated landing zones will
be prepared and presented to the City Council. This lease will
contain specific rules and regulations for Skydive Idaho operations
at the Airport.
The Airport Manager reported that:
l. The natural gas line has been installed at the
Airport. Gas should be available the middle
of next week.
2. The new Caldwell City Engineer and Public
Works Director, Gordon Law, will start on
April 5, 1993. The Airport will now be
included in the Public Works Department.
3. The Airport Manager has received ground lease
request letters for all the private hangar
areas to be made available by this year's
taxiway construction. Space still remains
available in the business lot section of this
new area.
The Shade Hangar Proposal item was not discussed in detail as
the requesting party was not present. The Commission felt that any
hangar construction in the new taxiway area should be of
conventional design. If there is still interest in Shade hangar
placement on the Airport, an alternate site should be considered.
The Commission approved a lease for Hangar No. 24 space with
John O. or Jeanne M. Deringer. The hangar has been sold to the
Deringers.
The Commission approved the proposal of Stan Stanley for lease
of 150 feet of the new business lot section, Block 1, Lots 1-6.
Mr. Stanley plans to buy and sell used aircraft and do maintenance
on the aircraft he owns. He plans to erect a hangar type building.
The size is yet to be determined.

2. Anderson and Oliver 1/3 of 100' X 40'
3. Collins 2/3 of 100' X 40'
All of these spaces are located in Block 1 of the Aviation Way
Subdivision Plat. Mr. Kuenzli retains the northwesterly 100' of
his 300' hangar block.
Dr. McLaughlin discussed a proposed aerobatic box in the
vicinity of the Caldwell Airport. Feasibility of this is being
discussed with the F.A.A. and other pertinent agencies. The
Commission will be kept informed and their input is requested.
