Also in attendance were FAA's Bill Watson, Caldwell City Engineer Gordon Law and Chuck Sandby from Toothman and Orton. The meeting was called to order at 12 noon and the minutes of the July 8th meeting were approved. 1. The T&0 representative said the present taxiway project was almost completed and came in slightly under budget. A walk around the project was made by the airport manager, Chuck Sandby, Bill Watson and some of the commission members. This was made following the meeting. 2. Concerning a question of security and safety for the airport, FAA's Bill Watson suggested we make an amendment to the present master to include three automatic security gates. These can be funded in part by the money left over from the taxiway project. The airport manager was instructed to get prices and work with T&0 on this Also, a notice to keep vehicles off taxiways and runways should be given to all airport tenants. 3. Gordon Law said the selection of the consultant to update the master plan should be complete by August. FAA's Bill Watson said he and his office will give us their input when we actually start the update. 4. Concerning the Caldwell Chamber's request to get water and power to the area used by air show vendors, it was pointed out that there exists two 24 inch culverts to this area. No cutting of asphalt or tunneling will be needed. 5. The question of changing the Fliteline lease to assure 40 years instead of 20 was resolved by vote of the commission. The commission decided that the original intent of the leases was to offer a 20 year lease with the option of renewal as opposed to a complete termination at the end of the first 20 years and offering a first right of refusal on the second 20 years. The airport manager was iunstructed to furnish the corrected language. , .' • • I .
