The meeting was called to order at 12:05 by chairman Marty Koch. The minutes of the October meeting were approved as mailed. Items discussed: 1. The fill work for the new taxiway project. As all prospective builders will be billed for their share of the fill, Dr. McLaughlin noted that the builders should not have to pay until their building plans were approved by the city. The commission agreed. 2. There was a great deal of discussion on how to go about getting freeway access to the Caldwell airport. It was generally agreed that a committee of business people, working through the mayor's office, should make every effort to get an off-ramp back on the DOT's calender. Marty Koch promised to spear head the program. With 72,600 aircraft operations per year, being a federally funded airport and having the only releiver status in the State, it was overwhelmingly agreed that freeway access to the Caldwell airport is one of the most important items on the airport agenda. 3. Robert Peterson requested a land lease for one of the last three commercial lots now available. As this was to be for air- craft storage only, the commission denied the request and ask the manager to put Mr. Robertson in touch with someone who is building new hangars in the new project area. This has been now been done. These last three lots have been zoned for commercial use. After the meeting, which adjourned at 1:05, Avid's Louard Crumbaugh discussed the possibilites of expansion programs for Avid. They will get back to us later with for an exchange of ideas. Probably on an informal basis.
