Caldwell Airport Commission
Minutes
March 3rd, 1994
Present: Chairman Marty Koch, Dean Dishman, Bob
Renfro, Dr. Roy McLaughlin, Phil Fouts,
FBO operator Lee Rice, Toothman-Orton
engineer Chuck Sundby, Nampa airport
commission chairman Don Blecha, several
people interested in building hangars and
airport manager Jack Pearson.
The meeting was called to order at 12:07 by chairman Marty
Koch. Minutes of the February meeting were approved. Items
from the agenda and those intruduced that were discussed:
1. Fliteline systems, a company building 600 ft. of hangars
in the nea� taxiway project, had voiced a concern over
the costs of the fill and the way the project was
handled. The commission, which includes some of the
builders in the project, again stated that the price
charged for the fill was fair and reasonable and saai
no reason for further discussion.
The commission voted to have the engineering firm of
Toothman-Orton submit building options for the
remaining row of hangars in the original taxiway project.
3. The commission voted to recommend that the city council
approve the cancellation of the Anderson/Healy lease and
approve dividing this property into 3 individual leases
which will go to Lee Rice, James Prideaux and Donald
Braun.
4. The commission voted to recommend minimal electricity
be made available to the new private hangars. Toothman-
Orton engineer mentioned that underground conduit was
already in place to bring poa�er from the original hangar
area to the project.
5. Don Blecha suggested that the tv►o airports could benefit
by working together in many areas and invited any and all
to attend Namps airport commission meetings.
The meeting aias adjourned at 1 p.m.
