HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-07-1994 AIRPORT MINUTES � • Caldwell Airport Commission Minutes April 7th, 1994 Present: Chairman Marty Koch, Bob Refro, Phil Fouts, Bob McGee, CouncilHioman Elaine Carpenter, Bill Statham from Toothman-rton, FBO operator Lee Rice, Chamber Manager Dennis Hardzzeij and John Blaye from the CaldHiell Economic Development office. The meeting aias called to order by chairman Marty Koch at 12:04. The minutes of the March meeting were approved as mailed. Items for discussion a�ere: 1. T-0's Bill Staytham presented options for hangar configuration for the last roa� of hangars to be built at the north end of the original hangars. The commission moved to favor the single building look with the single step foundation. The airport manager is to present the concept to prospective builders. 2. The commission moved to approve a lease of three lots in the Aviation Way Subdivision to Jay Morris. The lease will now go the council for final approval. 3. The commission approved the concept of opening part of the future general aviation parking area to commercial hangars. 4. The commission approved the concept of construction of a 12,000 sq.ft, or larger, building by Handicap Independence Enterprises at the west end of the airport. FAA and city approval will be needed. 5. The commission suggested the airport manager and FBO Lee Rice discuss the possibility of increasing the size of the Warhaa�k Museum with city participation. In other matters: Dennis Dennis Hardzeij shou�ed several VCR's pertaining to the coming Air-A-Fare and John Blaye queried the commission on several access options to the south side of the freeu�ay near Linden. The commission went on record as favoring the north side approach from Fanklin ( higway 20-26) to Linden. The meeting adjourned at 1:17 p.m.
