1994-12-22 AIRPORT MINUTES
Special Committee Meeting
12/22/94
This committee was formed at the request of the Caldwell
Industrial Airport commission and the the mayor of Caldwell
to determine if an adjustment of lease rates for the airport
is needed.
Present: Jack Pearson, Airport Manager and Chairman of
the committee, Orville Collins, Orville Collins
Real Estate, Darcy Maag of Highland Appraisal
Co., Anita Shore of Shore & Shore Aviation, Dr.
Roy McLaughlin and Dean Dishman of the airport
commission, and Elaine Carpenter representing
the Calduell City Council.
The meeting was called to order at 12:05 p.m. and adjourned
at 1:15 p.m.
A 3-page information piece was presented to all from which
to draHr information. This aias read aloud and discussed in
detail by all present. A formal motion aas then made by Dr.
McLaughlin and seconded by Darcy Maag:
The lease rates should remain the same for the Ca1dMe11
Industrial Airport but reviewed for a possible adjustment on
an annual basis. This same committee, or a replacement of
this committee, would convene in December of 1995 to make
this review
The above motion was made and approved by five of the six
present after review of the following facts:
1.) The business and leasing climate of the airport is quite
strong at the present and nothing should be done to
possibly interrupt this progress.
2.) With the aviation industry in very much of an up/down
mode, we should be able to move annually with rates and
not be tied to a CPI or any other automatic increase
or decrease.
3.) Our present rate structure, although it has ben in place
since 1976, is still fair and reasonable when compared
to those o s'milar facilities close by and in Idaho.
