Koch, Commission members, Dean Dishman, Phil Fouts and Or.
Roy McLaughlin. Also present were u�ere flight instructor
Bill Hinkle, Russ Sperry, Ultralight club president and Deven
and Terry Downs of Enviro-Progress.
The manager's report brought the commission up to date on
leases, noted that Skydive Idaho would be jumping into the
BSU stadium Hrith the kick-off ball at all the home games and
noted that power aiould be brought to the hangars under
construction as soon as the budget was passed. Items from
the agenda discussed u�ere:
1. The ultralight pattern and location of landing and
take-off area were discussed at great length. As no
agreement on a change could be reached, the problem was
tabled until the airport manager had an opportunity to
discuss the problem with FAA and state officials.
2. The problem of room in the manager's office N�as solved
a►hen Mr. Renfro took his davenport. The office now has 6
more chairs making room for up to 16 at the tables. The
commission voted unanimously to keep the commission
meetings in the airport manager's office. Everyone,
those eating and those not, can face each other during
the meeting.
3. Terry and Devin downs made their request for space to
store and grind Niood products. After satisfying the
commission that it was an enterprise compatible with
the airport, the manager Hias instructed to work out a
self-renewing annual lease. The city engineer and manager
uiill develop a lease fee schedule probably in the range
of $600.00 monthly. The commission recommends part of the
32 acres owned by the city.
Due to time restraints, no report Hias made by the committee
charged with developing ideas to increase airport revenue.
The committe did meet and recommended 1). all tennant rents
be brought up to the same level 2). a schedule for ramp fees
for parking be developed with the FBO received a port of the
fees for doing the bookurork 3). check on cost and
feasibility of city-constructed shade hangars 4). develop,
a graph shoNiing gains over the next 5 years if an overall
rental increase is initiated.
The meeting a�as adjourned at 1:10
