HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-15-1996 AIRPORT MINUTES Ca1dMe11 industrial Airport August 15th, 1996 Minutes As the attendance for this meeting was minimal and not enough commission members attended to constitute a quorum, these minutes reflect the discussions of those present. In addition to the airport manager, Dr.Roy McLaughlin of the commission was present as were Bob Rountree and Bob Walker of the Boise FAA office. Max McLure of Skydive Idaho was also in attendance. The following round table discussions took place_ 1. The manager reported that the Seattle FAA office mentioned that any property listed on the ALP (Airport Layout Plan) but has not been purchased by the FAA, comes under the same compliance rules as property purchased by the FAA. This means that the 32-acre drop zone and the Hoyt 9 acres will have to comply with all the assurances required by the U.S. Congress and enforced by the FAA. As this changes the way we lease some of our property, this will be an agenda item for our next meeting. 2. In regard to service work in private hangars, Red Hatmaker has resurrected his H&R Aircraft Co. and has rented an office in the Executive hangar. He now has a telephone, work area and meets all the city requirements for doing commercial work on the Caldwell airport. The meeting closed at 1:45 with the FAA representatives promising to return for the September meeting.
