HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-05-1996 AIRPORT MINUTES Caldwell Industrial Airport September 5th� ��'�� � Minutes Cooler weather, the start of school and the end of the vacation season kept enough commission members in town to form a quorum. In addion to the airport manager, those present included: commission members Marty Koch, Dean Dishman, bob McGee, Phil Fouts and Dr. Roy McLaughlin. Also inattendance were Keith Iceber, Chris Wentzel, Lee Rice, Darcy Maag, Paul Janes, Anita Shore and city councilman Garret Nancolas. The meeting was called to order at 12:05 by chairman Marty Koch. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved. After the manager's report consisting of progress in construction and reporting o conversations with the FAA regarding assurances, the commission voted to: 1. Pursue the possibility of using the city's HUD fund to get our fence installed prior to its funding date of next April. This was suggested by Garret Nancolas. The manager will follow through with both our engineers and the State Board of Aeronautics, the funding body. 2. Garret urill also talk to the city about sharing a flusher and/or sweeper to clear rocks off taxiways and runways. After the meeting, Anita Shore suggested the possibility of putting a broom on the front of one of their tractors. The manager aiill also follow through on this possibility. 3. Anita Shore announced that they plan on installing a card-lock gas system for 24-hour use. No other details were offered at meeting time. Having no other matters to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 12:50.
