11-07-1996 AIRPORT MINUTES Caldwell Industrial Airport
November 7th, 1996
Minutes
Present were chairman Marty Koch, commission members Bob
McGee, Phil Fouts and Budd Hehne. Councilman Garret Nancolas
was present. Others included Jack Pearson, Airport Mgr, Keith
Eisberg, Bill Hinkle, Jim and Anita Shore, Lee Rice and Bob
Stone.
The meeting was called to order by chairman Koch at 12:05
p.m. The minutes of the October meeting were approved as
mailed. Items discussed included:
1. An update on progress in bringing the Shore & Shore and
Sky Dive Idaho leases into compliance. It was noted that
a meeting has been scheduled for November 20th with Shore
& Shore, the mayor, the city engineer, the airport
manager and Bill Watson of the Federal Aviation
Administration. He may also visit with Keith Eisberg
sometime that day.
2.The manager reported on the progress of the new fence and
the additional automatic security gate soon to be
installed.
3.It was reported that Enviro-Progress has elected to cancel
their lease. Also that they have cleaned their area and
paid their lease in full to the date of the cancellation.
4.The commission voted to approve the installations of
lighted fuel signs for both Shore & Shore and Lee Rice.
The manager was instructed to write a letter to the FAA
noting the commission approval.
5.The possibility of installing one or more restrooms near
the west end of the field was discussed. The manager
was instructed to investigate the possibility of budgeting
for a portable facility.
6.Our city council liaison Garret Nacolas said the Caldwell
City Council was very pleased with the progress at the
airport and of the work of the commission. He also noted
that the council was well aware of the benefits to the
city the airport provides.
