December 5th, 1996
Minutes
Present were chairman Marty Koch, Commission members Dean
Dishman, Bob Renfro, Bob McGee, Dr. Roy McLaughlin, Phil
Fouts and Bud Kehne. Also present were Mayor Dick Winder,
Keith Eisberg, Brian Corey, Dick Graville and Jim and Anita
Shore.
The meeting was called to order at 12:05 by chairman Marty
Koch. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved. Items
discussed included:
1. An update on bringing leases into compliance, a report
on the progress of the fence and lift gate, information
on the taxiway rehab and other housekeeping items from
the manager.
2. It was moved that the selection of a new chairman be
done at the January 1997 meeting.
3. The mayor said he had not yet picked his replacements
for Marty Koch and Budd Kehne who will be going off
the airport commission at the end of this month.
4. Shore and Shore noted a continuing problem with the
grass farm people. The manager will address this with
the concerned parties as soon as the weed mowing season
gets underway.
5. Keith Eisberg acknowledged receiving a letter requesting
he meet with the city regarding his lease. He noted he
would meet with the city in January.
6. Due to the tremendous increase in private hangars and the
many increases in electrical power over the past 20 years,
the commission voted to add a$36.00 per year electricity
charge to each private hangar. The manager was instructed
to work out a billing program aiith the city to put the
program in place.
7. The commission voted to SERVE THE CAKE TO MARTY and it
did. An elegant and tasty cake was served amid many
speeches lauding Marty's past service and his many
accomplishments. Marty has served as chairman for over
12 years and wants a rest. Marty has done a tremendous
job and has given hundreds of hours to the airport and
its tenants.
