The revising of our MINIMUM STANDARDS was discussed and a committee consisting of Dr. Roy McLaughlin, Bob McGee and the airport manager was appointed to make revisions if needed. If there are any revisions, they will be submitted to the commission, the FAA and the City Council for acceptance. 2. After the information session bringing everyone up-to-date on our AIP programs for 1998 and 1999, the commission's discussion centered on the NDB ( non directional beacon ) used by Caldwell and Nampa as part of the approach procedures for both airports. After input from almost everyone present, it was decided that, in the interest of safety, that both Nampa and Caldwell pilots should be on the same frequency. Due to the clutter on 122.8, 122.7 was selected as the practical frequency for both airports. The manager was instructed to proceed with a request to the FCC for the change. FAA's Lou Sanders said he would start the ball rolling by making the initial contact with the FCC. The meeting was adjourned at 12:35.
