Re: Regular July 2nd, 1998 Commission Meeting
Those present were commission chairman Dr. Roy McLaughlin,
commission members Dean Dishman, Bob McGee, Tony Elordi, Phil Fouts
and Budd Kehne. There were no visitors for this meeting.
The meeting was called to order by chairman McLaughlin at 12:05
p.m. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved. Items from
the agenda discussed were:
1. The matters of parking and commercial work in private hangars
were again discussed. The letter regarding parking mailed out
over a month ago produced little, if any, improvement. The
manager was instructed to do a second notice mailing along with
posting the notice on all private hangar doors and autos
parked in the Object Free (OFA) areas. The letter will include
reminder explaining what can and what cannot be done in private
hangars.
2. The commission instructed the manager to write Jay Morris and
Philip Allen letters regarding the proposed construction time
frame of their hangars. The letter will state they need to
, respond to the commission at the next regular commission
meeting on August 6th, 1998.
3. A letter from Dick Drake regarding John "JR" Paden, s work status
on the airport was read. As soon as the new Drake hangar is
completed, Paden will meet all criteria for a commercial
operator (FBO) on the Caldwell airport.
4. Beginning September lst, 1998, 122.7 will be the new UNICOM
frequency for the Caldwell Industrial Airport. The manager will
notify publications and as many people as possible prior to
the change. This is an approved change by the FCC.
5. The August 6th meeting was designated as the deadline for
submitting proposals by private parties to build a new
terminal/hangar facility.

7 It was noted that there were two complaints received regarding
illegal painting in ROW Q. The hangar is owned by Gary Iverson
who had rented the hangar to a person who did the painting.
Airplanes in hangars on each side of the painter's hangar
received overspray on their planes. Iverson was notified and
says he got the painting stopped. The two people who had
their airplanes sprayed will contact Iverson.
There being no other items to discuss, the meeting adjourned at
12:58 p.m.
