Re: October lst, commission meeting minutes
Commission members present were: Dr. Roy McLaughlin, Dean Dishman,
Bob McGee, Phil Fouts, Budd Kehne and Ton
included Lee Rice, Jim and Anita Shore and bill H nk ae, Visitors
The meeting was called to order at 12:05 by chairman McLaughlin.
The minutes if the last meeting were approved and items from the
agenda that were discussed were:
1. A managers report on the Airport Improvement Program now in
progress. Barring bad weather, we will have everything completed
this year.
2. The subject of signs on private hangars was discussed. The
commission voted to keep all private hangars free of signs
of any kind. Those in place, of which there are only two, will
be allowed only as long as the present tenants occupy those
hangars. The manager will notify all lessees on the Caldwell
Industrial Airport by sending them a copy of these minutes
3. The subject of a new terminal for the airport was discussed and
it was noted that the mayor, city finance director and the city
engineer were in favor of having the city build the new terminal
and remain in full control of the facility. The city is now
formulating a program that will work to that end.
4. It was also noted that the city and Lee Rice are working out
a new lease that will return most of what is now leased to AVJET
Aviation back to the city. This would put the city back as
landlord of the ramp, terminal and other city-owned buildings.
There being no other items to discuss, the formal meeting was
adjourned at 12:42 p,m,
