Commission Meeting Minutes For April 1st, 199
l'
About the time af our April meeting the.airpart manager and his
computer came in need of severe repairs. After a 4-day stay in
the hospital the manager was repaired but the computer didn't
survive. The city's computer guru has ordered a new computer for
the airport which should be delivered sometime near the end of
April. In the meantime my home machine will have to suffice. In
9aing over my cold notes of the April 1st meeting, I came up with
the following:
Present were: airport manager Jack Pearson, commission members
Dean Dishman, Bob McGee Budd Kehne and Toni Elordi. Also present
were Jim and Anita Shore, Bill Hinkle, Rom Pollock and Rick
Eardsley and Bill Statham.
After a delay due to waiting for a quorum, the meeting was called
to order at 12:20 by Bob McGee. The minutes of the March meeting
were approved. Items discussed included the following:
1. The manager explained that electricity for the new hangar
area was going to be much less than expected. The charge
of $3.00 per day or $15.00 per month for tie-down fees
were approved by the commission.
2. Rick Eardsley of Meadow Outdoor Advertising made a
proposal for up to 5 signs on airport property that
could bring a minimum of $2,250.00 in annual revenue to the
airport. Rick and Bill Statham, of our engineering firm,
will work out a presentation to the city council.
3. Bill Statham explained where we were in our current AIP
project. Negotiations with the canal people could delay
some of our progress. He also mentioned a relaxation of
some of the DBE regulations that pertain to federaZly
funded projects such as ours.
With no other items to consider, the meeting was adjourned at
12:55
