08-06-1999 AIRPORT MINUTES CALDWELL INDUSTRIAL AIRPORT 4601 Aviation Way Caldwell, ID 83605 Phones 208-459-9779 and 208-880-2059 To: Commission Members, Caldwell Industrial Airport From: Jack Pearson, Airport Manager Re: Minutes of August 6, 1999 Commission Meeting Those resent included Manager Jack Pearson, commission members Dean Dishman, Bob McGee, Phil Fouts and council liaison Mike Gable. Commission members absent were Budd Kehne,Tony Elordi and Dr. Roy McLaughlin. Also present were Jim and Anita Shore, Greq Swanson, Ron Pollock and Toothman-Orton's Bill Statham. The meeting was called to order by acting chairman Dishman at 12:08 p.m.The minutes of the previous meeting were approved. Items from the agenda and others that were discussed included: l. The introduction of Ray Caldwell who replaced Bob Renfro as a member of the Caldwell Industrial Airport Commission. All present gave a hearty welcome to Ray as the newest of the commission. 2. The commission voted to go on record as opposing the use of Chicago and Linden streets as a staging area for used tires. 3. The commission voted to oppose any Nampa annexation north of Cherry Lane and west of Midway that would hinder expansion of the Caldwell Industrial Airport or any of its present, or future, navigational facilities. Councilman Mike Gable promised to carry the message to the Caldwell City Council. 3. Bill Statham, from our engineering firm of Toothman-Orton, presented us with the latest drawing of our coming Airport Improvement Projects. The AIP projects will begin on the 23 of this month and is expected to be completed sometime in the year 2000. Copies of the drawing will be placed at city hall, in the pilots' lounge and other strategic locations. 4. Members who had not seen ti�e renovated pilot's lounge were encouraged to make a quick visit. This renovated facility is accessible 24 hours a day to pilot's using the Caldwell UNICOM frequency for key pad access. Having no other items to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 12:48 P-m..
