Re: June 1, 2000 Commission Meeting
Those present were: Airport Mgr., Curt Hawkins and outgoing Airport Mgr., Jack
Pearson, commission members: Dr. Roy McLaughlin, Dean Dishman, Bob McGee, Phil
Fouts and from the Caldwell City Council Mike Gable. Visitors included: Rick B,
Eardley, Brian Corey, John C. Gray, Jim and Anita Shore and Lee and Doris Rice.
The meeting was called to order at 12:08 PM by Dean Dishmari who was filling in for Dr.
Roy McLaughlin who arrived later. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved.
Items from the agenda and others that were discussed included:
1: The incoming Airport Manager, Curt Hawkins was introduced by Dean Dishman.
2. Discussion was held about the need to show the FAA at least 500 times a year larger
GA aircraft are prevented from using the Caldwell Industr�al Airport due to runway
length and or navigation aids. Curt said he needed help from the FBO's in gathering
these figures. The Airport Manager was instructed to create a form to assist in
gathering these figures.
3. Jack Pearson and Curt Hawkins reported on their recent trip to the FAA in Renton,
Washington.
4• General discussion was held on proposed housing developments in the proximity of
the Caldwell Industrial Airport.
5• L`iscussion regarding construction delays due to improperly installed sewer line at the
Caldwell Industrial Airport.
6. Jack Pearson has written a letter to the Caldwell City Council requesting signs to be
installed on the Caldwell Industrial Airport.
7. Adjournment at 12:30 PM.
