AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING AND REGULATING THE LICENSING, FEES AND
USE OF.BILLIARD PARLORS; AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF TITLE 4 OF THE
I k CITY CODE OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON -
FLICT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho:
SECTION:
4 -13 -1: License Required
4 -13 -2: Fees
4 -13 -3: Minors
4 -13 -1: LICENSE REQUIRED: It shall be unlawful for any
person to operate, maintain, or conduct a billiard, pool, or
bagatelle or pigeonhole table open to the public without having
first obtained a license therefor as is required herein. All
applications for such licenses shall state thereon the intended
location of the place of business.
4 -13 -2: FEES: Before a license shall be issued to any
person to operate or open a billiard, pool, or cardroom, said
person shall pay to the Clerk a license fee as follows:
(a) Fifteen dollars ($15.00) per quarter for cardrooms.
(b) Fifteen dollars ($15.00) per quarter for billiard and
pool halls.
Said license shall expire on the last day of each quarter,
The license issued under this chapter shall be nontransferable.
4 -13 -3: MINORS: Minors under the age of eighteen (18)
years shall under no circumstances frequent, loiter, go or
remain in any hall licensed hereunder at any time, unless

it be upon some lawful errand and sent under the direction and
the consent and knowledge of the parent, guardian or other
person having lawful custody of such minor; and it shall be
unlawful for the proprietor of any hall so licensed to allow
or permit any such minor to frequent, loiter or re-main within
the hall in violation of this Chapter.
Provided further that minors under the age of 18 years
may be permitted to enter, frequent and remain. upon any premises
for the purpose of playing a game of billiards or similar games
in any licensed establishment which does not also have a card
license, beer or liquor license and upon which premises no
beer, liquor or alcoholic beverages are sold, dispensed or used
nor where any card or games of chance are plpyed for money,
tokens or prizes.
This ordinance shall be In. force and take effect from
and after Its passage, approval and publication according to
law.
