AN ORDINANCE A&IENDING SECTION 1 -810 OF THE CA=NELL CODE OF 1942,
AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCES NOS. 627, 629, 637, 670, 688, 722, 777,
795 826 AND 854 OF THE CITY OF CALDVuELL, RELATING TO THE SALARY
TO BE PAID THE CHIEF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, CAPTAIN OF THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT, LIEUTENANT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, HOSEmEN AND DRIVERS
OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THIS
ORDINANCE TO TAKE EFFECT, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREYvITH.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That Section 1 -810 of the Caldwell Code of 1942,
as amended by Ordinances Nos. 627, 629, 637, 670, 688, 722, 777,
795, 826 and 854, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
11 1 -810. Salary of Officers and Employees:- -The compensation
of the officers, members, and employees of the Fire Department
shall be as follows:
Chief of Fire Department "440.00 per month
Captain of Fire Department X360.00 per month
Lieutenant of the Fire Department 5350.00 per month
Hosemen and Drivers of Fire Department 9:275.00 per month
Part Time Firemen 4 28.00 per month
"Provided that the compensation of the Chief shall be in-
creased x; :120.00 annually for each year of continuous service until
a maximum of $*.PQ per month is reached.

"Provided that the compensation of the Captain shall be in-
creased y�60.00 per year for each year of continuous service until
a maximum of :390.00 per month is reached.
"Provided that the compensation of the Lieutenant shall be
increased y per year each year of continuous service
until a maximum of J jjom�. per month is reached.
"Provided that the compensation of Hosemen and Drivers shall
commence at 51,275.00 per month and shall be increased x'60.00 per
annum for each year of consecutive service until a maximum of
000.00 per month is reached.
®'Provided further, that the salary of part time firemen is
to be diminished at the rate of 45.00 for each fire missed, and
53 .00 for each drill missed.
"Provided further, that the City of Caldwell shall provide
private telephone service on a fire alarm hookup for all firemen."
Section 2. All salary or compensation changes as provided
in this ordinance shall become effective as of and from the first

day of May, 1957.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in force and shall take
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
