HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 901L 1 2 3 4 5 6 11 12 13 0 o il 14 16 � o 17 18 22 23 25 29 30 31 32 BILL NO. 20 ORDINANCE NO. 901 BY COUNCILMAN Eldred AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING THE INSTALLATION OF GAS METERING DEVICES QR APPURTENANCES ON OR OVER PUBLIC PROPERTY, ALLEYS OR, STREETS OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE PORTION OF ASA B31.1.8 -1955 WHEN AUTHORIZED BY THE CITY ENGINEER WHEN IN HIS JUDGMENT SATISFACTORY INSTALLATION OF SAID METERING EQUIPMENT CANNOT BE MADE ON OR OSIER PRIVATE PROPERTY; PRESCRIBING REMEDIES AND FIXING PENALTIES FOR 'VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho: Section 1. When in the judgment of the City .Engineer satisfactory installation of gas metering devices or appurtenances cannot be made on or over private he may permit in specific instances the installation of gas metering devices or appurtenances on or oven public property, alleys or streets, pro- viding said installation is in accordance with applicable portions of ASA B31.1.8 -1955 and said installation is made under the direction of the City Engineer or his authorized agent and the approval of the City Engineer has been first obtained. Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation who violates, causes or permits any violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed one hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the City Jail for not to exceed thirty (30) days or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for every day or any portion thereof during which any violation of any provision of this ordin- ance is committed, continued or permitted by such person and shall be punishable therefor as provided by this ordinance. Section 3'. All ordinances or parts of ordinances of the City of Caldwell in conflict herewith shall be, and the same are hereby repealed. Section 4.
