BY COUNCILMAN F,LDITEDGE
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXAMINATION, REGISTRATION AND LIC-
ENSING OF PERSONS ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF PLUMBING OR LABORING
AT THE TRADE OF PLUMBING; REQUIRING A PERMIT FOR THE INSTALLATION
OR ALTERATION OF PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS; CREATING AN ADMIN-
ISTRATIVE OFFICE AND A BOARD OF PLUMBER EXAMINERS, AND PRESCRIBING
THEIR DUTIES; DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS; ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REGU-
LATIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION, ALTERATION AND REPAIR OF PLUMBING AND
DRAINAGE SYSTEMS AND THE INSPECTION THEREOF; PROVIDING PENALTIES
FOR ITS VIOLATION AND REPEALING CHAPTER 4 OF TITLE 2 AND CHAPTER 8
OF TITLE 3 OF THE CALDWELL CODE OF 1942 AND ANY OTHER ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That a certain document, three (3) copies of
which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Caldwell, being marked and designated as "Western Plumbing Officials
Uniform Plumbing Code, 1955 Edition, adopted at the Twenty -Fifth
Annual Conference October, 1954, published by Western Plumbing
Officials Association," and as amended by a resolution adopted by
the City Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, on February 6,
1956, be and the same is hereby adopted as the plumbing code of the
City of Caldwell, Idaho, providing for the examination, registratiot
and licensing of persons engaged in the business of plumbing or
laboring at the trade of plumbing; requiring a permit for the in-
stallation or alteration of plumbing and drainage systems: creating
an administrative office and a board of plumber examiners, and pre-
scribing their duties; defining certain terms; establishing minimum
regulations for the installation, alteration and repair of plumbing
and drainage systems and the inspection thereof; providing penaltiEs
28 therefor; and all of the provisions, regulations, penalties, con -
29 ditions and terms of such "Western Plumbing Officials Uniform
30 Plumbing Code, 1955 Edition, adopted at the Twenty -Fifth Annual
31 Conference October, 1954, published by Western Plumbing Officials
32. Association" on file in the office of the City Clerk, together with

1 the resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Caldwell
2 on February 6, 1956, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a
3 part hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance.
4 Section 2. That Chapter 4 of Title 2 of the Caldwell Code
5 of 1942 entitled "Plumbers" and Chapter 8 of Title 3 of the Caldwell
61 Code of 1942 entitled "Plumbing Officials" and all other ordinances
7ilor parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

81 Section 3. That this ordinance shall become effective
9, following its passage and approval and the City Clerk shall cause
to the same to be published.
