Be it ordained by the 14,ayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho: Section 1. That Section 1-602 of the Caldwell Code of 19 as amended by Ordinances No o. 62'T, 637, 670, 688, 68% 723, '743, 71 796 and 827, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as folloxs: "l-602. Compensation of appointed and duly constituted members of the Police Department of the 'City of Caldwell, Idaho.- - `Kt compensation of appo'n' L-ed and duly constituted members of the Police Department of the City of Idaho, shall be a_ follows: Chief Of Police ............................... X340.00 per month. Detective Lieutenant ............................ T310.00 per month. Detectives .................................... 300.00 per :,oath. Provided that the compensation of the C hief of Police I shall be increased at the rate of X10.00 per month for each year of continuous service in that classification until a mayirr2jum of 'L $400.00 per month has been reached, which shall be the maximum compensation for Chief of Police. Provided that the comi3eneation of Dctective Lieutenant shall be increased at the rate of $5.00 permonthfor each year of continuous service in that claozificat ion until a ma` , of ��_30.00 per month has been reached, which shall be the maaciraum compensation fox Detective Lictitcnant. Provided that the compensation of Detectives shall be increased at the rate of 1 75.00 per month for each year of continuous service in that classification untij- a ma,, irtura of *315.00 has been reached, which shall be the maximum compensation for Detectives. I It Provided that the compensation of Patrolmen and Pound master after one years continuous service in that classification shall be Anameaued at the rate of $260.00 per month; that the com- pensation of Patrolmen and Poundmaster shall be increased at the rate of Y 0 5.0 0 per month for each year of continuous service there- after in that classification until a mrinximum of X280.00 per month has been reached, which shall be the maximum compensation for Patrolmen and Poundmester. Provided that the compensation of Clerks shall be increased at the rate of $5.00 pen monthfor each year of c, service in that classification until a maximum of $175.00 panylony has been reached, which shall be the maximum compensation for Clerk§ Section 2. The compensation change as provided in this ordinance shall become effective as of and from the first day of AuSust, 1955. Section 3. Al.'! ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in force and shall take effect from and after its passa3e, approval and publication, PASSED By the Council this 18th day of July, 19550 APPROVED By the Mayor this 18th day of July, 1955.
