Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of 7 Caldwell, Idaho: 8 Section 1. That Section 1-709 of the Caldwell Code of 9 1 1 1942 be amended to read as follows: 10 "1-709. Water Service and Tap Charges. ® The minimum 11 charge for a water service and tap to the city water mains, or pipes, when made in streets or 12 avenues of widths from 50 to 80 feet inclusive shall be Seventy Dollars ($70.00) and shall pro- 13 vide a, "Standard V.rater Service and Tap", as follows: 0 � 0 030 14 One three- fourths inch corporation stop at the M � .,i 15 main. 16 One Service Run of three-fourths inch copper pipe, to a maximum distance of fifty five (55) o feet. 17 One five-eights by three-fourths inch standard is make water meter. 19 One three-fourths inch curb stop. 20, One eighteen inch concrete meter box, with cover. 21 The labor required to make the service and tap. 22 Two meter couplings. 23i One three-fourths inch 90 copper ell. 24 One three-fourths inch adapter. 25 If the applicant for a service requests, and is 261 granted, a water service and tap differing from the above, "Standard lrx'ater Service and Tap", in either the size, type or quantity of material, 27 the charge shall not be less than Seventy Dollars ( but it shall equal the actual cost of 28 the material used and the labor involved in making the service and tap if the changes or 29 additions make the total cost, labor plus mat- erial, of said service and tap exceed the 30 Seventy Dollars (. 31 The charge for a water service and tap to the city water mains, or pipes, at locations other 32 than those referred to above shall be not less than Forty Dollars (440.00), but it shall equal the actual cost of the material used and labor 1 2 3 4 5 involved in making the service and tap if the total cost, labor plus material, of said service and tap exceeds the Forty Dollars (440-00). The actual cost of material used and labor in- volved in, "Service Runs", of three-fourths inch copper pipe, complete in place shall be figured at a rate of One Dollar (41.001 per linear foot when hand digging is employed, and Seventy Cents ($0.70) per linear foot when machine digging is employed. The patching of cuts to be made, or made, in the paved or oiled surface of city streets, in con- nection with the making of a water service and tap, shall be made by the city and the cost there- of to be figured at the rate of Thirty Cents (40.30) per square foot, shall be considered as an, ItExtra Gosttf, to be added to the, "Water Service and Tap Charges", outlined above." ILI Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- 12 flict herewith are hereby repealed. 13 Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take.affec 14 from and after its passage, approval and publication.
