AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 -227 CALDWELL CODE OF 1942 AS
AMENDED BY ORDINANCES NOS 622, 627, 629, 635, 637, 670, 68$,
700, 722 and 770 OF THE CITY OF CALDI,`ELL RELATING TO THE SALARIES
OF THE DEPUTY CITY CLERK, CITY ENGINEER, ASSISTANT TO CITY ENGIN-
EER AND BUILDING INSPECTOR; FURTHER AMENDING SECTION 1 -$10 OF THE
CALDWELL CODE OF 1942 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCES NOS. 627, 629 637
670, 6$$ and 722 OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, RELATING TO THE
SALARIES TO BE PAID THE DULY CONSTITUTED MEMBERS OF THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL AND METHOD OF PAY RAISES; FUR-
THER AMENDING SECTION 11 -104 OF THE CALDIfITELL CODE OF 1942 AS
AMENDED BY ORDINANCES NOS. 637, 670, 6$$ AND 722 RELATING TO THE
SALARY OF THE SEXTON OF THE CEMETERY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE EFFECT AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREIKITH.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That Section 1 -227 of the Caldwell Code of
1942 as amended by Ordinances Nos. 622, 627, 629, 635, 637, 670,
6$$, 700, 722 and 770, be and the same is hereby amended in part tc
read as follows:
11 1 -227. Salary for Certain Officers.--The-salary of the
following city officers shall be as follows:

Section 2. That Section 1 -810 of the Caldwell Code of
1942 as amended by Ordinances Nos. 627, 629, 637, 670, 6$$ and
722 be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

11 1 -310. Salary of Officer and Employees. - -The compen-
28 sation of the officers, members, and employees of the fire depart-
ment shall be as follows:

Provided that the compensation of the hosemen shall be

;236.50 per month after six months continuous service in that
classification; that the compensation of the hosemen after one
year of continuous service in that classification shall be
$242.00 per month; that the compensation of the hosemen after
one year and six months of continuous service in that classific-
ation shall be $247.50 per month which shall be the maximum com-
pensation for that classification.
The salary of part time firemen is to be diminished at
the rate of $5.00 for each fire missed and ?3.00 for each drill
missed.
Call men when answering fire calls shall receive 13.50
for responding to the call when called by the officer in charge of
the department and $1.00 per hour or fractional part thereof for
time spent in working when called."
Section 3. That Section 11 -104 of the Caldwell Code of
1942 as amended by Ordinances Nos. 637, 670 and 722 be, and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
11 11 -104. Salary of Sexton; Living Quarter.- -The salary
of the Sexton of the cemetery of the City of Caldwell, Idaho,
shall be the sum of $264.00 per month payable monthly. The above
salary shall be full compensation for all services performed by
him as such Sexton. Provided that if the Mayor and Council so
order, the Sexton may be given the privilege of living in the
residence on the cemetery ground without rental therefor."
Section 4. All salary or compensation changes as
provided in this ordinance shall become effective as of and from
the first day of May, 1951.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in force and shall
take effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
PASSED by the Council this 22nd day of May, 1951.
