AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 -602 CALDWELL CODE OF 1942 AS
A14ENDED BY ORDINANCES N0. 627, 637, 670, 688, 689, 723 AND 748
OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, CHANGING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID THE
CHIEF OF POLICE, DETECTIVE LIEUTENANT, SERGEANTS OF POLICE,
PATROLMEN, POUNDMASTER AND MATRON; PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE
OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That Section 1 -602 of the Caldwell Code of
1942, as amended by ordinances Nos. 627, 637, 670, 6$$, 689, 723
and 748 be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
11 1 -602. Compensation of appointed and duly constituted
members of the Police Department of the City of Caldwell, Idaho.
- -That compensation of appointed and duly constituted members of
the Police Department of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, shall be as
follows:

Chief of Police 330.00 per month
Detective Lieutenant . 286.00 per month
Sergeants of Police . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 264.00 per month
Patrolmen . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 242.00 per month
Poundmaster . . . . . . . . 1198.00 22.0.00 per month
Matron . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . per month
Provided that the compensation of Sergeants of Police
shall be increased at the rate of $5.50 per month for each year of
continuous service in that classification until a maximum of
' per month has been reached, which shall be the maximum
compensation for Sergeants of Police.
Provided further that the compensation of Patrolmen
after six months of continuous service in that classification
shall be at the rate of $247.50 per month; that the compensation
of Patrolmen after one year of continuous service in that class-
ification shall be at the rate of .;253.00 per month, which shall
be the maximum compensation for that classification."
Section 2. The compensation change as provided in this
ordinance shall become effective as of and from the first day of
May, 1951.

Section 3. All ordinances in conflict herewith are

ill hereby repealed.
2 Section 4. This ordinance shall be in force and shall
3 take effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
