AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 -304 OF THE CALDWELL CODE 1942,
SETTING FORTH THAT NO BEER LICENSE SHALL BE GRANTED TO A PERSON
YMOSE PLACE OF BUSINESS IS IN THE "A" OR "B" RESIDENCE ZONES OF
THE CITY OF CALD10TELL, EXCEPTING PERSONS WHOSE PLACES OF BUSINESS
ARE WITHIN THE "A" OR "B" RESIDENCE ZONES AND ARE LICENSED AS OF
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CALDTivELL:
Section 1. That Section 2 -304 of the Caldwell Code 1942
be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Qualifications of License. No license shall be granted
to a person who is not of good moral character and who is under the
age of 21 years, or to a person to sell or dispose of beer by
peddling, or to a person whose place of business is in the ? 'A T '
or "B" Residence Zones, or within two city blocks of the side
or end lines of the grounds of any school or college within the
City of Caldwell.
Section 2. This ordinance shall not apply to persons
presently licensed by the City of Caldwell for the sale of beer
whose places of business are located within the "A" or'B" ResidencE
Zones of the City of Caldwell.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become in force from the
date of its passage, approval and publication.
