TION' TO THE CITY OF CALDI ELL TO THE GRAND LODGE OF IDAHO, I.O.O.F.
INC., A C.. CORPORATION, OF IDAHO FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF FIVE HUNDRH-
DOLLAL .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE P %IAYOR AND COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF

CALDWELL :
Section 1. That it is deemed advisable by the Mayor and
Council of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, State of Idaho, to
sell and convey the following described real property, to -wit:
Beginning at the Easterly corner of Block One
Hundred Six (106) of Goandu Addition to the City
of Caldwell, Idaho, as the same appears by the
Plat thereof on file rind of record in the office
of the County Recorder of Canyon County, Idaho,
running thence Southwesterly along the North-
easterly boundary line of Tenth Avenue a distance
of 300 feet; running thence Northwesterly on a
line parallel with the Northeasterly boundary
line of said Block 106 a distance of 125 feet;
running thence Northeasterly on a line parallel
with said Tenth Avenue, a distance of 300 feet
to the Northeasterly boundary line of said Block
106; running thence Southeasterly along the
Northeasterly boundary line of said Block 106
to the point of beginning;
to the Grand Lodge of Idaho, I.O.O.F., Inc., a corporation, for a
price of 000.00, for a building site for a national historical
museum at an estimated cost of 470,000.00. Provided, however,
that authority to make such sale shall be given the Mayor and
Council of the City of Caldwell by the duly qualified electors
of the City of Caldwell, at a special election to be called and
held for that purpose.
Section 2. That a special election is hereby called and
shall be held in the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, State of Idaho
3111 on the 18th day of April, 1950, for the purpose of voting upon the
question of authorizing the Mayor and Council of said City to sell

and convey the land described in section 1 herein, which land is the
property of said City, at which election the polls shall be open and
remain open, and the election conducted and held in the manner as
other city elections are required by law to be conducted and held.
Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Caldwell
is hereby authorized and directed to give at least twenty days notice
of the said election as herein provided for, in the Caldwell News
Tribune, a newspaper published and in general circulation in the
City of Caldwell, and which is hereby designated for such a purpose.
Section 4. That all voting at such election shall be by
ballot, and the ballot used shall be substantially as follows, to-
wit:
i3 "In favor of selling land described in Ordinance No. 740
14 to the Grand Lodge of Idaho, I.O.O.F., Inc., a corporation for
15 the consideration of $500.00 ( }n
16 "Against selling land described in Ordinance No. 749
17 to the Grand Lodge of Idaho, I.O.O.F., Inc., a corporation for
18 the consideration of $50000 ( }n
19 Section 5. That, upon canvassing the returns of said
20 election, in case a majority of the qualified electors of the City
21 of Caldwell, voting at said election, shall have assented to the sal
22 and conveyance of said land described in section 1 herein, then the
23 Mayor and Council of said City shall proceed to provide for the sale
24 and conveyance of said land in the manner provided by law and as
25 specified and provided in this Ordinance.
