Be it ordained by the Acting Mayor and Council of
the City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. Section 2-107 of the Caldwell 6ode 1942
being the same as hereby amended to read as follows:
11 2-107 Insurance Aequired. The city Council shall
require, before granting any person a license as a taxicab'
operator for transporting persons for compensation, such per-
son or persons to procure and file with the city clerk lia-
bility and property damage insurance, issued to the owner of
such taxicab, ivihich shall be on the form of the standard auto-
mobile liability and property damage insurance in customary
use, to be approved by the City Attorney, and issued,by an in-
surance company licensed to do business in the state of Idaho,
said policy to secure payment, in accordance with the provisions
thereof, to any person, except employees of the owner, for per-
sonal injuries to such persons and for any damage to property,
except property owned by, rented to, leased by, in charge of,
or transported by the owner, other than baggage of passengers,
caused by operation of such cab; the arriount of said indemnity
for said loss in the respective classifications aforesaid to
be named and provided for in such insurance shall be set Prom
time to time by resolution by the Council of the City of Cald-
well, and it shall be unlawful for any person to operate any
taxicab without first having secured and filed such insurance
in such form and amount as the Council of the City of Caldwell
shall approve; and failure upon the part of the person or per-
sons operating said taxicab to keep in full force and effect
said insurance shall be sufficient cause for revocation of said
license.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herevjith are hereby repealed.
W, Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and shall
take effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication.
