PROVIDING THE EFtECTIVrE DeTE OF THIS ORDINANCE; and FROVIDING
FURTHER F(R THE REPEALING OF ALL ORDINAFCES IN CONFLICT HERE -
WITH:
Be it ordained by the Acting Mayor and Council of the
City of Caldwell, Idaho;
Section 1. That Section 1 -601 of the Caldwell Code
of 194 as amended by Ordinance No. 689, be, and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
11 1 -601. Police Department Created, Fersonnel.- -That
there is hereby established a Police Department of the City
of Caldwell, Idaho, which shall constitute a Chief of Police,.
a Detective Lieutenant, who in the absence of the Chief of
Police shall be the acting Chief of Police, three Sergeants
of Police, such Patrolmen as the needs of the Department
shall require, a Poundmaster to be employed for periods of
time as the needs of the lolice Department shall require, and
a Iuatron also to be employed for periods of time as the needs
of the Police Department shall require.??
Section 2. That Section 1 -602 of the Caldwell Code
of 1942 as amended by Ordinances No. 627, 637, 679, 688, and
689., be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
?tl - 602. Compensation of appointed and duly constit-
uted members of the Police Department of the City of Caldwell,
Idaho. - -That compensation of appointed and dull constituted
members of the Police Department of the City of Caldwell,
Idaho, shall be as follows:

Provided that the compensation of Sergeants of Police
shall be increased at the rate of 4)5.00 per month for aach year
of continuous service in that classification until a maximur,
of d'250.00 per month has been reached, which shall be the
maximuffil compensation for sergeants of Police.
Provided further that the compensation of Patrolmen
after six months of continuous service in that classification
shall be at the rate of 4�225.00 per month; that the compensa-
tion of Patrolmen after one year of continuous service in
that classification shall be at the rate of 4230.OG per month,
which shall be ft maximum compensation for that classification.
Section 3. All salaries or compensation changes as
provided in this ordinance shail become effective as and from
the lst (lay of Dray, 1948.
Section 4. All ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in force and
shall. take effect from and after its passage, approval and
j.ublication.
