ORDINANCE NO. 718
BY COUNCILMAN GLAISYER
CE AMENDING SECTION 1 -607, CALDWELL.CODE OF 1942,
MAKING IT NO LONGER NECESSARY FOR ANY PERSON APPOINTED AS
AN OFFICER OR ANY MEMBER OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO BE A
QUALIFIED ELECTOR OF THE CITY OF CALD °TELL AT THE TIME OF HIS
APPOINTMENT TO SUCH OFFICE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
FOR THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE EFFECT.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the
City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. That Section 1 -607 of the Caldwell Code
of 1942 be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
e 541 -607. Qualification of officers and members. --
Any person appointed as an officer or member of
the police department shall be a qualified
citizen of the United States at the time of
his appointment to such office."

Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and take effect from and after its passage, approval, and
publication.
