Salary, Certain Officers. - The salary of the follow - ing city officers shall be as follows: City Treasurer - - - - - - - - - 200.00 per month. Deputy City Clerk- - - - - - - - §166",00 per month City Engineer - - - - - - - - - - $275.00 per month Assistant to City Engineer- - - - §205.00 per month Meat Inspector - - - - - - - - - 0 50.00 per month." Section 2„ That Section 1 -602 of the Caldwell Code of 1942 as amended by Ordinance No. 627 and by Ordinance No. 637, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: T1 1 -602. Compensation of Officers and Members. - The compensa- tion of the officers and members of the police department of the City of Caldwell shall be as follows: -1- 0 y Chief of Police - - - - - - - - Captain of Police (day Captain) - Captain of Police (night Captain) Desk Sergeant (day) - - - - - Desk Sergeant (night) - - - - - - Patrolmen of Police Department - Patrolman and pound faster- - - - • 235.00 per month 195.00 per month °205.00 per month - - 165.00 per month 175.00 per month - '175.00 per month - - ;155.00 per month Provided that the compensation of Patrolmen shall be increased at the rate of x ° $ 5.00 per month each year for continuous service after the first year for e, period of three years, so that be- ginning with the second year of said service, such compensa- tion shall be the sum of x '$'"180.00 per month and beginning with the third year of said service such compensation shall be the sum of :185.00 per month, and beginning; with the fourth year of such service and thereafter such compensation shall be the sum of X190.00 per month' provided that in calculating the monthly increases of 45.00 per month for patrolmen for con- tinuous service during the second, third and fourth years of their continuous employment, the actual date of their enter - ing the employment of the City of Caldwell as patrolmen shall be the date from and after which such schedule shall be cal- culated. Provided further that there is hereby created the combined office of Patrolman and found Master, and that the salary of the officer occupying that position shall be X155.00 per month; and that such office shall not be included in the schedule of monthly salary increases as herein provided for patrolmen." Section 3. That Section 1T810 of the Caldwell Code of 1942 as amended by Ordinance No. 627 and as amended by Ordinance Rio. 629 and as amended by Ordimance No. 627, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 11 1 -810. Salary of Officers and Employees. - the compensation of the officers, members and employees of the fire department shall be as follows: Chief of the Fire Department - - - - - 235.00 per month Captain of the Fire Department - - - - 205.00 per month Lieutenant of the Fire Department- - - 195.00 per month Hosemen of the Fire Department - - - - 1175.00 per month Provided that the compensation of the hosemen shall be in- creased at the rate of 0.00 per month each year for contin- uous service after the first year for a period of three years; so that beginning with the second year of said continuous service such compensation shall be the sum of 4180.00 per month, and beginning with the third year of such continuous service such compensation shall be the sum of X185.00 per month and beginning with the fourth year of such service and thereafter such compensation shall be the sum of j$190.00 per month; provided that in calculating the monthly increases of 65.00 per month for hosemen for continuous service during the second, third and fourth years of their continuous employment, the actual date of their entering the employment of the City M • of Caldwell as hosemen shall be the date from and after which such schedule shall be calculated. Call men when answering fire calls shall receive 0.50 for responding to the call when called by the officer in charge of the department and 41.00 per hour or fractional part thereof for time spent in working when called. If the Mayor and Council shall so require, the Chief of the Fire Department shall maintain his residence in the rooms provided for that purpose in the City Hall, said rooms to be furnished by the City of Caldwell without rent and with lights, heat, water and electrical energy provided at the expense of the City of Caldwell." Section 4. That Section 11 -104 of the Caldwell Code of 1942, as amended by Ordinance mo. 637, be and the same is hereby amended as follows: 11 11 -104. Salary of Sexton; :Giving quarters. - The salary of the ,sexton of the cemetery of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, shall be the sum of 0205.00 per month, payable monthly. The above salary shall be full compensation for all services performed by hire as such Sexton. Provided that if the Mayor and Council so order, the Sexton may be given the privilege of living in the residence on the cemetery ground without rental therefor." m Section 5. All salary or compensation changes as provided in this Ordinance shall become effective as of and from the lst day of June, 1946, Section 6, All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 7. This Ordinance shall be in force and shall tame effect from and after its passage, approval and publication. PASSED By the Council this 3rd day of June, 1946.
