An ordinance relating to the row =ers -nd duties - f the city clerk
and $z$xkxt fixing the salary of the City Clerk'.
Be it ordained by the Mayor ,{nd council of the city of Caldwell:
Section 1.In addition to the po,. s..nd cli2ties ,,rovided L the

may be delivered into his custody for safe keeping.
Section 2.It shall be the duty of the city clerk to attend all
meeting of the city council,keop� minutes of all their proeeadings =)nd
record the same in a book to be provided by the council and, keep the
same in his office.He shall fill out and countersign ?.11 warrants ordered

drawn on the treasurer and deliver the same -;Then called for by-the p oiler
.)arties.,,o shall also tt the close of each fiscal year,and as often as
required by the council,m�,le out and submit o said council a full and
complete statement of receipts and expenditures and all the financial
affairs of the city during such year,and cause the same to be published
in some. newspaper publishMi in the city `of Caldivell,to be designated by
the council'.
Section 3.It shall be the duty of the city clerk when any moneys
are to be paid to the city,to certify the same to the city trea.surer,ancl
the city treasurer shall receive no moneys except on the certificate of
the city clerk.Thn certificate shall state the source from rhich the
said moneys are received and shall apnortion the said money so received
to the proper funds.
