Z6 ORDINANCE NO. p BY COUNCILMAN AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 -229 CALDWELL CODE OF 1942 AS PRE - VIOUSLY ANENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 627 OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO, INCRBASING THE COMPENSATION FOR SERVICES OF POLICE JUDGE AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THIS ORDINANCE TO TAKE EFFECT: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL Or THE CITY OF CALD vELL, IDAHO: Section 1. That Section 1 -229 of the Caldwell Code of 1942 as previously amended by Ordinance No. 627 of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 11 1 -229. Police Judge, Appointment, Salary.- -The Mayor of the City of Caldwell shall, with the approval of the Council, at the time of his taking office, appoint some suitable person as Police Judge of the City of Caldwell who shall qualify as such Police Judge by filing the usual oath of officers required by the Statute of all public officers, filing a bond in the sum of $1,000.00, for the faithful performance of his duties and who shall receive as compensation for his services as such Police Judge the sum of 675.00 per month, payable out of the general expense fund of the City Treasury of the City of Cald- well in the same manner as all other claims against the City are paid, PROVIDED, that in the absence or incapacity of such Police Judge and there be a substitute appointed during such absence or incapacity as provided by the Statute of the State of Idaho, the salary of such Policy Judge accruing during such absence or incapacity shall be paid to the person who is designated under the Statute of the State of Idaho to act as such Police Judge of the City of Caldwell during the absence or incapacity of the duly appointed, qualified and acting Police Judge as hereinabove provideW Section 2. That the compensation change for Police -1- i • Judge as provided in this Ordinance shall became effective as of and from the lst day of October, 1945. Section. 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in force and shall take effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
