AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 -713 OF THE CAID17ELL CODE OF
1942; PROVIDING A DATE ON OR BEFORE WHICH THE CITY CLERK SMALL
FURNISH TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OF WATER WORKS A CERTIFIED LIST
OF PROPERTIES ?KITH REGARD TO WHICH WATER CHARGES HAVE NOT BEEN
PAID; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY TO BE IMPOSED UPON PROPERTIES
INCLUDED UPON SAID LIST.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR A)ND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL, IDAHO:
Section 1. That iection 1 -713 of the Caldwell Code
of 1942 be amended to read as follows:
1 -713. When Water Charges Payable Turn Off, Penalty --
All water charges for domestic water furnished by the
water department of the City of Caldwell shall be due and
payable to the City Clerk of the City of Caldwell on or
before the 10th day of each month, and should the water
charges to any property be not so paid on or before the
12th day of such month, it shall be the duty of the City
Clerk to notify the Superintendent of Water Works thereof
and to give the Superintendent of Water Works a certified
list of all properties with regard to which the water charges
have not been paid. There shall be added to and collected
with the water charge against each parcel of property in-
eluded upon said certified list a penalty of fifty cents
to cover added clerical and turn off expense. Upon receipt
of such certified list, it shall be the duty of the Superin-
tendent of Water Works to immediately stop delivery of
domestic water to the properties included thereon, and
close the meters connecting the pro.pe with the city water
works, and thereafter the meters shall not be opened until
all delinquencies have been paid.

Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and take
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
