said office unless he' has been a regular fireman of the City
of Caldwell, Idaho, for a period of years prior to his
appointment as such; the Junior Captain of the Fire Depart-
ment of the City of Caldwell shall be entitled, to receive
salary for his services as suoh in the sum of One Hundred
Forty Dollars ($140.00) per month, payable monthly, beginning
July let, 1941.
SECTION III: That Section 1 of Ordinance No 456 of
the City of Caldwell be and the same' hereby is amended to
read as follows:
"Section 1: The compensation of regular firemen
employed in the Fire Department of the City of Caldwell, Idaho
not including the officers of said Fire Department as designa-
ted by the Ordinances of the City of Caldwell, shall be the
sure of One Hundred Twenty Dollars ($120.00) per month, PROVIDED,
that such compensation shall'be increased at the rate of Five
Dollars ($5.00) per month each year for continuous service
after the first year, for a period of three years, so that
beginning with the second year of said service, such compensa-
tion shall be the sum of One Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars ($125.00)
per month, And beginning with the third year of such service,
such compensation shall be the sum of One Hundred Thirty Dol
lags ($130.00) per month, and beginning with the fourth year,
and thereafter, such compensation' for said service shall be
the sum of One Hundred Thirty -Five Dollars ($135,.00) per month ".
SECTION IV: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 456 of the
City of Caldwell be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as
follows.
