HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 572} 1 , X111 T'To 6,, ti ORDINANCE NO 572..'. a By t AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR LICENSE TO BF PAID BY THE OWNER OR BPFR OF EVERY OMNIBUS, AUTO MOBILE OR OTHER VEHICLE FOR HIRE; PROVIDING 4 N.ALTY FOR THE VIOLA - TION THDRtOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREAIITH BE IT ORDAILTSD By the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, Idaho: SECTION 1= The owner or keeper of every omnibus, auto- mobile or other vehicle which shall be used Per the conveyance of persons from place to place in the city for hire shall pay in ad vance an annual ,license fee of Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) for the first vehicle, and Five Dollars ($5.00) for each additional vehicle SECTION 2. Any person or agent having no established place of business in the City of Caldwell- before operating any ve- hicle herein provided, shall pay in advance a license fee as follows, to-wit: Fifty Dollars (050.00) per year for each vehicle, or Ten Dollars (41.0.00) per day for each vehicle, or the sum. of Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) per week for each vehicle. SECTION 3• Licenses shall be procured and issued in the same manner as provided by,the ordinances of the City.of :Oald�e:ll � I SECTION 4. The owner or driver of vehicles conveying persons, as her mentioned, shall ;place the number of his vehicle, his name and his license in a conspicuous' place in the front end of his vehicle, a record of which number shall be kept by the City Clerk upon the issuing of such license• Page 1 I r " SECTION-5+ Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall, be _fined in any sum not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) SECTION 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinanees. in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication. PASSED by the Council this day of February, A.
