AN ORDINANCE GIVING TO UNION PACIFIC STAGES,
INCORPORATED, A CORPORATION, AND ITS ASSIGNS, CERTAIN
RIGHTS WITH RESPECT TO OPERATION OF STAGE LINES AND
STAGE DEPOT, AND PROVIDING FOR PARKING IN CONNECTION
THEREWITH; PROHIBITING THE USE OF CERTAIN PARKING
SPACES BY PRIVATE CONVEYANCES AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.
462
BE IT ORDAINED By the Mayor and City Council
of Caldwell, as follows:
Section 1. That Union Pacific Stages, Incor-
porated, a corporation, and its assigns, are hereby
granted the right and privilege to maintain and operate
busses or stages over, along, and upon the streets of
the City of Caldwell in connection with the operation
of a bus or stage line or lines.
Section 2. That the said Union Pacific Stages,
Incorporated, and its assigns, are hereby given and grant-
ed the right and privilege to operate a stage depot in
the building located on Lot Ten (10) of Block Ten (10)
of the Original Townsite of the City of Caldwell, and
to use and permit to be used for parking purposes,for
one bus at a time, and for loading and unloading freight,
passengers and express in connection therewith, the
Southerly side of Arthur Street for a distance of
forty- five(46) feet in a Northwesterly direction from .
a point on the curb line directly in front of the North-
easterly corner of said Lot Ten (10), (being the street,
curb, and sidewall� adjacent to the Arthur Street front-
age of Lot 10 and the Southeasterly twenty (20) feet of
Lot 9, in said Block 10 of said Original Townsite of the
City of Caldwell); said spaces to be marked off by said
P Union Pacific Stages, Incorporated, at its own expense,
by the painting of the curb; and the use of said space
by private conveyances is hereby prohibited.
Section 3. Any person, firm, or corporation
violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be fined any sum hot exceeding $100.00; each un-
.1 `lawful parking by the same conveyance shall be deemed
a separate offense.
Section 4. Ordinance No. 462, passed and
approved on December 24, 1928, and all ordinances and
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith,are hereby
repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full
force and shall take effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication.
