FRO- HIBITIXG TM USE OF CERTAIN PARKING SPACES BY PRIVATE CONVEYANCES AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR TEB VIOLATION HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED By the Mayor and City Council of Caldwell as follows Section 1. That the Gem State Transit Company, a corporation, and its assigns, are hereby given and granted the right and privilege to maintain and operate busses or stages over, along, and upon the streets of the City of Caldwell in connection with the operation of a bus or stage line or lines between Boise and Caldwell. Sec. 2. That the said Gem State Transit Company, a corporation, and its assigns,.are hereby given and granted the right and privilege of operating a stage depot on the Northwest corner of Arthur Street and Seventh Avenue South in the City of Caldwell and to use and permit to be used for parking purposes and for loading and unloading freight, passengers, and express in connection therewith, a distance of forty (40) feet from the cross- walk intersection on the Seventh Avenue side of said Northwest corner Northeasterly on said Seventh Avenue South, (being the street, curb and sidewalk adjacent to Lots 17 and 18 in Block 3 of the Old Townsite), and a distance of sixty (60) feet from the cross-walk intersection on the Arthur Street side of said Northwest corner Northwesterly on said Arthur Street,(being the street, curb and sidewalk adjacent to the Arthur Street frontage of Lot 18 in said Block 3 of said Old Townsite); said spaces to be marked off by said Gem State Transit Com- pany at its own expense, by the painting of the curb, -1- t M .. and the use of said spaces by private conveyances is hereby prohibited. Sec. 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating; any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined any sum not exceeding $100.00; each unlawful parking by the same con- veyance shall be deemed a separate offense. Sec. 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and shall take effect from and after its passage, approval and publication. Passed by the Council this day of December,1928.
