AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY
OF CALDNELL, IDAHO, AS "`THROUGH" STREETS; PROVIDING FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS OZ; SUCH STREETS; PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
Be it Ordained by the Mayor and Council of the City
of Caldwell:.
Section 1. The following named street in the City of
Caldwell, Idaho, is hereby designated as a "through" street,
u °yon which vehicles shall have the right of way, as against
vehicles coming in to said street from intersecting streets,
tc -wit:: Kimball Avenue.
Section 2, The Mayor and Street Committee of the
City of Caldwell, Idaho, are hereby authorised to install traf-
fic signals, or other safety devices for the purpose of regulat-
ing traffic on "through" streets, or on other streets, avenues,
alleys and publio places of the City of Caldwell, and such
traffic signals shall be installed at such places as may be
designated by the Mayor and Street Committee,
Sao. 3. The operator of a vehicle shall, on approach—
ing any street intersection in the City of Caldwell, at which
there shall be placed a "stop" signal, bring such vehicle im-
mediately to a stop before passing into such attest intersec-
tion, and remain stationary so long as may be reasonably neoes-
sary to allow vehicles to pass along the intersecting street,
and so long as shall be reasonably necessary to prevent acci-
dent and insure the safety of others.
Sec. 4. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and

upon conviction shall be fined in any aunt not to exceed $100,00,
Sec. 5, All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed..
Sec. S. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage, approval and publication,
Passed by the Council this 9th day of August, A.D.,1926.
