Be it ordaVed by the I' and Council of thie
City of Caldwell, Idaho:
Section 1. The word "vehicle" includes everything
an wheels or runners, except street cars and baby carriages.
The word"horss" includes all domestic animals. The word
"Driver" includes the rider or driver of a horse,
r 44 s p- 0 , drIvCr of a horso, the rider of wheels and the
oporator of a motor vch0le or street car.
Section 2. Drivers of vehicles and street cars
,-, at all times comply with any direction by voice or
hand of any member of the police department, which is
hereby given power and authority to regulate and control
ve hi c ular traffic to the extent of cloaring any street or
part Lhoreof of vehicles and diverting traffic therefrom;
also as to placing, stopping, starting, approaching or
departing of any vehicle or street car from any place;
the manner of taking up or setting down passengers, loading
or unloadinn goods in any place.
Section 3. Before backing, ample warning shall be
given, and while backing unceasing vigilance must be exer-
cised not to injure those behind.
Section 4. The driver of a vehicle upon the approach
of any fire apparatus, shall immediately draw up said vehicie
as near as practicable to the right hand curb and
parallel t and bring it to a standstill.
Section 5. The driver of a street car shall
!Luiiediately stop his car and keep it stationary upon
the arrroach of any fire apparatus. I
Section 6. Yo vehicle or street car shall so
occupy any street as to interfere tRiith or interrupt the

hour, and no vehicle turning a corner to the left shall
commence to make such turn until it shall have reached

Sectionly. No vehicle shall emerge from any alley,
stable or garage at a speed greater than four miles an hour.
Section 14. A vehicle, except when passing a vehicle
ahead, shall keep as near the right hand curb as safety and
convenience permit.

Section 14. No motor vehicle shall be operated or

permitted upon any motor vehicle or street car.
Section 16. No person shall run any motorcycle or
bicycle upon the streets, alleys or pulaiic places of the

city, in. the night time, without having a headlightj�ighted
and attac'-.ed to the front thereof, and shall also have the
same adequately equipped itl sound signals.
Section 1q. Every vehicle usin.g. gasoline as a motive
power shall use the "muffler ", so called, and the' same shall
not be cut. out or disconnected within the limits of the City.
Section 11- In case of accident or collision ##W
of any vehicle of� vehicles or injury of a pedestrian by a
collision with a vehicle, the driver or drivers shall stop
and give such assistance as can be extended, and upon request
of the injured party the driver shall g his name and address
and. the number of his vehicle as vzell as the amme of the owner.
Section lq. No person not the owner or operator tberoof
shall tamper, _medd.lo or interfere with any vehicle, or start or

is standing still, or to puncture or otherwise mutilate
the tires, sc-atch, mark or bbherwise deface the body or

Section 10. Fo minor under the age of eirrhteen years
nor any person under the influence of liquor shall drive any mota-
vehicle or street car upon the streets, highways or public
places of the city.

Section 2 1 / No horse shall be left unattended in any
street, unless sec fastened.
Section 2J. Any person violating any o£ the provisions
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdarleanor and
u- conviction thereof sliall be punished by a fine of not to
exceed one hundred dollars.
Section 24- The Ordinances nwrbered 124, 196 and 198
and all Ordinances and - Parts of ordinances in conflict her�nwi-th
are hereby repealed.
