ORDINANCE NO. 2478
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE 7, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO, PERTAINING
TO AMENDMENTS TO ELECTIONS, SECTION 01 -07 -05 (1), (2), AND (3), BY ADDING
AND DELETING CERTAIN LANGUAGE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES,
RESOLUTIONS, ORDERS, AND PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, County of Canyon, State of
Idaho:
Section 1. That Section 05, Chapter 1, Article 7 of the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell,
County of Canyon, State of Idaho pertaining to Elections be amended as follows:
01- 07 -05: ELECTIONS:
(1): Officers of Elections: The City mil- Clerk shall, in the month prior to an election,
whether general or special, appoint an election judge and such Clerks as may be
necessary for each voting precinct within the City. The said election judge and Clerks
shall be qualified City electors, and it shall be the duty of the election judge to supervise
the election in his polling place and designate the duties of the Clerks. Wid-iff five

officials of their appointment. , and the The City Clerk shall request each appointee
election official to give notice of his/her acceptance or declination within ten (10) days
thereafter, and the City Eeuneil Clerk shall, at its nero meeting themafief, fill such

(2): Polling Places and Time: The City Ceumil - Clerk shall designate suitable polling

The polls for all general and special City
elections shall be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Mountain Time).
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication according to law.
