Re it ordained by the ",Mayor and Council of
t ".e City of Caldwell, Idaho-
Sec Lion 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 23,
entitled "An ordinance providing for the taxinE of
dogs, and providing penalties for the violation thereof,
and providing for the destruction of dogs on wPiich the
tax is riot paid", be and the sane is hereby amended to
read as follows: The license tax for every dog, male
or female, shall be dollars per year; provided

the dog was brought within the city within the near, in which
case the license tax shall be proportionate to the time between
the date w1ion such dog was brought within the said city and
the first day of May following*.
Section 2. That Section 3 of the aforementioned
Ordinance No. 23 be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows: The owner or person having in charge any dog,

the city clerk the sum hereinbefore provided as license tax
upon such dog, w)ereupon it shall be the duty of the clerk
to issue a licenseto said person, which ,hall bear
the same number as the number to be worn on the collar
of the doh; as hereinafter provided. The said license
shall give the date of i^9119, the date of expiration,
the amount paid, the name of the person to whom issued,
and the na:ce of the dog. The clerk hhall furnish with
each license a metal tag, which shall be stamped with
nu.nber to correspond with the nuabcr of the license and
the fiscal year for which i ^sued. Tn case a dog is brou`ht

within the said city within the license year as herein
designated, the owner or person having such dog in charge
shall pay to the c =.erk the a.nount required by Section
hereof whereupon license shall issue as in other oases.
