ORDINANCE NO. 2221
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, A MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION OF IDAHO, AMENDING CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 3,
PERTAINING TO APPOINTED OFFICERS BY DELETING AND ADDING
CERTAIN LANGUAGE IN SECTION 1 REGARDING APPOINTMENTS;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, ORDERS AND PARTS
THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CALDWELL, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Chapter 3, Article 3, Section 1, of the Municipal Code of the City
of Caldwell, County of Canyon, State of Idaho pertaining to Appointments be amended
as follows:
03- 03 -01: APPOINTMENTS: The Mayor shall appoint, subject to the approval of the
majority of the full City Council: A City Clerk, Deputy City Clerk, City Attorney, City
Engineer and Public Works Director, , Police Chief, Fire Chief, Gity
Tmasurar and Finance Piractor- City Treasurer /Administrator/Finance Director and
Community Development Director. The Mayor shall appoint, subject to approval of the
ftdl City Council, such other officers as may be deemed necessary for the efficient
operation of the business of the Municipality.
Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent herewith are
hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication according to law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Caldwell this 5th day of
January, 1998.
