ORDINANCE NO. 2068
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF
IDAHO, AMENDING CHAPTER 8, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO, PERTAINING TO PUBLIC
SAFETY, BY ADDING A NEW ARTICLE 15, SECTION 1 WITH REGARD TO SPEED
OF TRAINS: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, ORDERS AND PARTS
THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Chapter 8 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Caldwell, County of Canyon, State of Idaho, be amended by adding a
new Article 15, Section 1 as follows:
08 15 - 01: SPEED OF TRAINS: No person,
officer, agent or employee of any
railroad company, shall cause or
permit any train, engine or car to
run, or to be run upon, over or
across any street or alley, from a
point two thousand feet (2,000
west of Third Avenue, and continuing
in an easterly direction two
thousand (2,000 east of Twenty -
first Avenue, at a speed greater
than fifty miles per hour (50
m.p.h. )
Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to
law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Caldwell this 17th
day of January , 1995.
