AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL, STATE OF IDAHO, BY ADDING A NEW CHAPTER 27,
TITLE I, SECTIONS 1 THROUGH 5 ENTITLED MAYOR'S ASSISTANT:
REGARDING APPOINTMENT; GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES;
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES; ACCEPTABLE
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE; AND NECESSARY SPECIAL
REQUIREMENTS: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS,
ORDERS OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO:
Section 1. That a new Chapter 27, Title I, Sections 1 through
5 be adopted as follows:
MAYOR'S ASSISTANT
1 -27 -1: APPOINTMENT: There is hereby created the
position of Mayor's Assistant, a position
which shall be filled by appointment by the
Mayor with the advice and consent of the City
Council.
1 -27 -2: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Mayor's
Assistant shall be under the direction of the
Mayor and shall perform such duties as are
assigned by the Mayor.
1 -27 -3: REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
The Mayor's Assistant shall have such
knowledge and experience as required by the
Mayor. The Mayor's Assistant shall have the
ability to plan, organize and administer local
government programs as delegated by the Mayor.
1 -27 -4: ACCEPTABLE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The
Mayor's Assistant should be a graduate of a
regionally accredited college or university or
should have demonstrated either through public
or private employment that the Officer has the
education and experience to perform the duties
of the office in a satisfactory manner.
1 -27 -5: NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: A valid Idaho
Driver's License is required.

Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Declaring an emergency due to the fact that the
position needs to be filled immediately because the position of
Administrative /Personnel Officer will not be filled.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
