AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE 149 OF THE CITY OF CALD-
WELL, IDAHO, PABSED BY THE COUNCIL OF SAID CITY ON THE
29TH DAY Of NOVIUBER, 1909, AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR
OF SAID CITY ON THE 30TH DAY OF NOVKaER, 1909.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL:
Section 2.® All sidevialks hereinafter constructed within the
City of Cqldwell, Idaho, shall conform to one of the
following plans of construction, which shall be known
as plans 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of this ordinance.
Under plan one which shall include all that portion
of the said City of Caldwell within Local Improvement
District No. 1, as established by Ordinance 130,passed
by the Council of said city on the 14th day of July,1909,
and approved by the Mayor of said city on the 15th day of
July, 1909, the sidewalk shall be fifteen feet wide,
including the curb, measuring from the line of the block
to the outside of the curb in accordance with the grade
already established or to be hereafter established by
the City Engineer, and shall be constructed of Portland
cement in the manner hereinafter set forth.
Under plan 2, which shall include all that portion of
the said City of Caldwell, within the :firc_liinits as
now established or to be hereafter established, except
that portion thereof Included within plan 1 of this
ordinance, the sidewalk shall be twelve feet wide includ-
ing the curt), measured from the line of the block to
the outside of the curb in accordance with the grade
already established or to be hereafter established by
the City Engineer and shall be constructed of Portland
convent in the manner hereinafter provided.
Under plan 3 which shall include sued portions of
the said City of Caldwell as the Council may deem neces-
sary and advisable and not heretofor included in Plans
1 and 2 of this ordinance, the sidewalk shall be five
feet wide and constructed of Portland cement. At the
block corners the sidewalk shall extend to the curb line
and shall be constructed by the owner of the corner
propert) to said sidewalk. The grade of the
sidewalk shall be such as shall be established by the
City Engineer.
Under plan 4 which shall include that portion of the
said city of Caldwell not heretofor included in plans 1,
2. and 3, of this ordinane the sidewalk shall be five
feet wide. There shall be three sills not less than
two by tour inches in dimension, which shall be laid
upon a good and substantial foundation. The covering shall
be not less than one and one-half - inches thick and not
to exceed six inches in width of planks laid crosswise
of the walk. At the block corners the sidewalk shall
extend to the curb line and shall be constructed by the
owner of the property, adjecent to the sidewalk.,
Under plan 5 which shall include that portion of the
City of Caldwell as the Council may deem necessary and
advisable, not heretofor included in plans 1, 2, 3, and II
4 of this ordinance, the sidewalk shall be three feet
wide. there shall be two sills not less than two by
four inches in dimension, which shall be laid upon a
good and substantial foundation. The covering shall be
not less than one and one-half inches thick and not to
exceed six inches in width of planks laid crosswise of
the walk. At the block corners the sidewalk shall extend
to the curb line and shall be constructed by the owner of
the corner property, adjficent to said sidewalk. The

grade of the walk shall,sueh as established by the City
Cngineer.
