AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE VI, CHAPTER 2, SECTION 6 -2 -1, TABLE 3, "OFF- STREET PARKING AND LOADING SCHEDULE," OF THE ZONING REGULATIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO, ADDING PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR BARS, TAVERNS, NIGHT CLUBS, LOUNGES, ETC., AND FOR DANCE FLOORS; ALSO AMENDING TITLE VI, CHAPTER 5, SECTION 6 -5 -4, OF SAID MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING DEFINITIONS FOR BAR, DANCE FLOOR, AND OFF - STREET PARKING SPACE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, ORDERS OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CALDWELL, IDAHO: Section 1. That Title VI, Chapter 2, Section 6 -2 -1, Table 3, Off= Street Parking and Loading Schedule of the Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell, Idaho, be amended as follows: TABLE 3 OFF- STREET PARKING AND LOADING SCHEDULE USE SPACES REQUIRED Single - family dwelling 1 space if square footage is less than 1,100 square feet; 2 spaces if square footage is greater than 1,100 square feet. Two - family dwelling 1 space for each dwelling unit if square footage is less than 1,100 square feet per unit; 2 spaces per unit if greater than 1,100 square feet per unit. Three - family dwelling and Multi- family dwelling Mobile home park Rooming house, fraternity, sorority and dormitory 1.5 spaces for each dwelling unit. 1 space for each mobile home lot plus 1 additional space for each 4 mobile home lots. 0.33 spaces for each resident or lawful number of occupants. 1 0 0 Motel or hotel 1 space for each guest room plus spaces required for other facilities. Bar; tavern; night club; 1 space for each 200 square feet lounge; etc. of gross — moor area Dance floor 1 space for each 100 square feet of gross floor area use�or the activity in addition to spaces required for other uses on site. Church,theater, spectator 0.25 spaces for each seat. sports facility, auditorium or concert hall Senior citizen housing project 0.4 spaces for each dwelling unit. Convalescent or nursing home Hospital Golf course Barber shop or beauty parlor Bowling alley Fast food, take -out estab- lishment or drive -in restaurant Restaurant (except drive - in) 0.25 spaces for each patient bed. 1.5 spaces for each patient bed. 5 spaces for each hole. 2 spaces plus 1.5 spaces for each chair. 5 spaces for each lane plus spaces required for other facilities. 1 space for each 150 square feet of floor area but not less than 6 spaces, not including drive -up areas. 0.25 spaces for each seat. Furniture, appliances and 1 space for each 600 square feet of household equipment, carpet floor space. and hardware stores, repair shop, museum and gallery Mortuary 0.25 spaces for each seat. Gas station 1 space for each pump plus 2 spaces for each lift in addition to pump stopping places. Laundromat 0.5 spaces for each laundry machine. 2 Doctor or dentist office Bank Warehouse Retail store or service establishment Office LJ 1 space for each 350 square feet of floor space but not less than 4 spaces for each doctor or dentist. 1 space for each 350 square feet of floor space. 1 space for each 700 square feet of floor area. 1 space for each 250 square feet of floor space and outdoor sales space. 1 space for each 350 square feet of floor area. Section 2. That Title VI, Chapter 5, Section 6 -5 -4, "Definitions," of the Municipal Code of Caldwell, Idaho, be amended as follows: (a) A definition for BAR shall be inserted between the definitions for AUTOMOBILE WRECKING YARD and BLOCK: BAR: See TAVERN or LOUNGE (b) A definition for DANCE FLOOR shall be inserted between the definitions for COUNTY CLERK and DENSITY: DANCE FLOOR: The surface or floor area of a structure which = set aside or designated for the purpose of dancing (c) A definition for PARKING SPACE, OFF STREET shall be inserted between the definitions for PARKING SPACE and RESTAURANT: PARKING SPACE; OFF STREET: An area located on the premises or w thin — 3 - 90 - Teet of subject property which is adequat� parking an automobile with room for opening doors on both sides; together with property= related access to a public street or alley and maneuvering ng room; but shall be located outside of any street or alley right of way 3 0 0 I . Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
