ORDINANCE NO. 1748
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL, STATE OF IDAHO BY ADDING AND DELETING CERTAIN
LANGUAGE IN SECTION 1, CHAPTER 1, TITLE V OF THE CITY CODE
REGARDING ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE AND SECTION 3, CHAPTER 1,
TITLE V REGARDING ADOPTION OF UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT
OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS,
ORDERS OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CALDWELL, COUNTY OF CANYON, STATE OF IDAHO:
Section 1. That Section 1, Chapter 1, Title V of the
Municipal Code of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho be
amended as follows;
5 -1 -1: ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE: There is hereby adopted for
the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construction,
alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy,
location and maintenance of buildings and structures, that certain
Building Code known as the Uniform Building Code, copyrighted by
the International Conference of Building Officials, 1982 c urrent
Edition together with amendment and revisions thereof with the

Section 2. That Section 2, Chapter 1, Title V of the Municipal
Code of the City of Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho be amended as
follows:
5 -1 -3: ADOPTION OF UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF
DANGEROUS BUILDINGS: There is hereby adopted for the purpose of
providing a just equitable and practicable method, to be cumulative
with and in addition to, any other remedy provided by the Building
Code, Housing Code or otherwise available at law, where buildings or
structures which from any cause endangers the life, limb, health,
morals, property, safety or welfare of the general public or their
occupants may be required to be repaired, vacated or demolished,
that certain code known as the Uniform Code for the Abatement of

of Building Officials, 1988 Current Edition.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to
law.
